counselling. People belonging to this type of gro0up are cooperative and
imaginative, often playing the role of harmonizer in the workplace or social
circles. These traits make Diplomats warm, empathetic and influential
individuals, but also cause issues when there is a need to rely exclusively on
cold rationality or make difficult decisions.

nature creative nurturers with a strong sense of personal integrity and a drive
to help others realize their potential. They have an unique ability to be in
tune with others emotions and motivations. They have a strong ability to read
others and often understand how they feel better and before the person does. Sensitive
and reserved they tend to be a private sort and selective about who they share
their inner thoughts and feelings with.
Very
Rare the INJF is less than 1% of the population but leave their mark on the
world. As Diplomats the INJF as an inborn sense of idealism and morality, but
they are not idle dreamers and capable of taking concreate steps to realize their
goals and make lasting positive improvements. The INJF sees their purpose in
life in helping others, but not on a day to day basis all the time, more in
finding the root of the issue and correcting it so people do not need rescuing
in the first place.
INFJ’s
have a unique set of traits, soft spoken but with strong opinions and will
fight tirelessly for an idea that they believe in. They are decisive and strong
willed but don’t use any energy for personal gain. They act with creativity,
imagination and conviction and are very sensitive to creating balance. They are
a bit naïve and feel that love and compassion can overcome the tyrants in life.
They
find it easy to make connections with others and are seen as warm, sensitive
and very friendly. While they do well in groups they need time to decompress
alone and find their center again or they will become agitated and chaotic.
The INJF
is also good at promotion as it is related to emotional contact and
connections, they enjoy reading, writing, cultural events and socializing in
small groups. They also have an appreciation of playing music or listening to
music.
Strengths: INJF’s are very creative and
insightful people. They combine a vivid imagination with passion and a strong
sense of compassion to creatively resolve issues and conflict. They can also
see through dishonesty and disingenuous motives. They step past manipulation
and sales tactics and into a more honest discussion. They are often seen as
inspiring and convincingly warm people. They are good orators and speak warmly
and with passion as long as they believe in what they are talking about. They
are also very decisive and follow through with ideas and plans well. They have
a strong sense of right and wrong and the will power to back up any plan they

do anything and go anyplace that would help them solve issues they have a great
deal of passion over. They are also Altruistic in their approach. They don’t
think about themselves they focus on the plight of others and will go to any
length to help others.
Weakness:: The INJF can be very sensitive,
overly sensitive to any aggression or criticizing of a cause or principle they
have. Do not question their motives or you will get a strong response and be on
the persons bad side for a long time. They can also be extremely private
people, to the point of being slightly neurotic they do not often open up well
and will hid behind an image or retreat to privacy when they need to show their
true side to others. They are also regularly perfectionists that are never
happy and have never done enough for their cause, which they must always have a
cause to work for! And lastly they never look after themselves and burn out
easily under the stress of the cause they are serving.
Famous:
Martin
Luther king Jr. Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Nicole Kidman, Jimmy Carter,
Goethe, Mohandas Gandi, Jimmy Carter.
How
they fair in Karate: The
Councilor does very well in Karate and will make a great instructor. They lack
the “RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW” kind of focus, but they work well focusing on long
term goals and also work well with others. They need Karate to distress and get
past social issues they have and also need to distress to take care of them.
How to
teach them Karate: Give
them long term goals and the instructor will focus on keeping them focused on
the day to day work. They will do well with all aspects of Karate training as
long as they keep their eyes forwards. Keep reminding them that there is
a life beyond the Shodan test and once they reach that you need to refocus
them.
What to
Expect: very
caring and very fun people, they can be a bit intense and they can be
undirected in the short term so getting to class is an issue but they have
dreams and they have a purpose to reach so as long as they can get over the day
to day stuff they are good.
Conclusion:
its all
about helping others and the maintenance of their integrity! The INJF is a
helper and they campaign for causes, a bit of a crusader they will always find
something to back and a cause to be part of. This kind of person is unrelenting
in their approach to helping others, but needs to be forced, often, into taking
care of themselves.
INFP
The Idealist/ Dreamer - Poetic, kind and altruistic
people, always eager to help a good cause!
Description: A true idealist, always
looking for the good in everyone and every event! Looking for ways to make
things better and seen as calm, reserved and even shy they have a inner flame
and passion that can truly shine through in the things they do, if not in
interaction with them. 4% of the population falls under this personality
they are often challenged to find like-minded people to be creative with, but
when they do its magic and lots of art and creativity will follow.
When
looking at how to move forwards they will try and honor beauty, morality and
virtue and have purity in their intent, not rewards or punishment. INFP often
communicates easily with others and uses metaphors and parables to do so. They
create images in the way they speak and are very creative in their work. They
often make great poets, writers and actors as they are good at self-expression;
they understand themselves and their place in the world. Most of the INFP often
are gifted at communication and pick up other languages easily. They desire
harmony and beauty and helps them find their calling.
INFP’s
are concerned with authentic emotion and seek, inside themselves, to understand
how they work and how they interact with others. If they feel pressured by
false intentions from someone they tend to recoil from this interaction and form
deep judgments about others based on being done wrong.
Strengths:
INFP’s
are idealistic and open minded. They tend to be seen as optimistic and have an
unshakable belief in other people. They are very creative and also seek and
value Harmony. They tend to have no interest in having power over others and
would rather create art and beauty and prefer a democratic approach over having
one leader. They are also very passionate and energetic and dedicated and hard
working. This combination makes hard work fun for them and they will often
undertake hours of creative process to find a single source of beauty or create
a single piece of art and they also value this in others.
Weakness: often they are to idealistic
and go too far with this. When they find “evil” in the world it can crush them
mentally and emotionally. They also give far too much of themselves and are
often broke and don’t value money as a source of happiness so they suffer
greatly and own little in life. They are also impractical and do things for the
simple pleasure of doing it; they often take their creative process to far and
forgo eating and drinking in the pursuit of their art. The thought of dealing
with Data and office work does not appeal to them; in fact they find that to
constrictive and would not deal with it. They also take things very personally.
Any Criticisms of a person will cause internal turmoil and conflict. They are
also very private, reserved and prefer to let their creations speak for them.
They are notoriously difficult to deal with in the “real world” when trying to
talk nuts and bolts.
Famous:
William
Shakespeare, JRR Tolkien, Johnny Depp, Homer, Virgil.
How
they fair in Karate:
watching others fail will kill them, but failure in themselves is not that bad
as long as it comes with an upbeat description as to why. They tend to
gravitate towards being good Sempais or instructors and truly do care about
their students.
How to
teach them Karate: the
idealist will be sensitive and will want to see that what they are being taught
is accurate but will also connect deeply with other students as well. They
won’t excel at any one area of Karate over another and may shock you in that
they make great Kumite people. Be very careful how you critique this
personality type as they tend to take things personally, show the good and the
bad and most importantly show them the right path after telling them they are
wrong.
What to
Expect: very
caring and very empathic students that tend to connect with others emotions
even though they are quiet about this and don’t respond the same as other
empathy based types do. You may have that feeling of pulling teeth when trying
to get them to express themselves to you and you have to be careful to read
them and watch to see what kind of reaction you get. They will also be
overly giving and dedicate themselves to a cause to a fault, keep an eye that
they are not doing to much for the group.
Conclusion: kind hearted and
altruistic with a vivid and creative imagination. They are good at overcoming
challenges but always seek harmony in doing so. They can be very hard working
and often taken on family tasks and family responsibilities that others don’t,
they also often support others who become lazy or seek them out because they
are lazy and will mooch off of their good nature as long as they can. In life
they are the dreamers and the idealists but they also push hard to get things
done and have an incredible creative side based on emotion and aesthetics.

they fair in Karate: Goal
oriented and focused they do very well in Karate and they end up being great natural
coaches as instructors or seniors. They can be a bit sensitive and prefer a
light hand during critiques but they react well and work diligently to overcome
weaknesses. While they thrive in Kata and Kihon training and have a easy time
in social gatherings they tend to be geared towards helping others and need to
focus more on themselves in training.
How to
teach them Karate: Gentle
feedback, lots of work and push them to excel for themselves before they turn
to coaching others. They want to help others so much that they can “step out of
line” to do so and you have to gently push them back in line to focus on their
own work. Push them to stop thinking and just do it, they get bogged down in
self-doubt far too much and then fail to react. Once they get to one set of
goals (Shodan) you have to remind them that there is much more to Karate than
the first step!
What to
Expect: these
are the kinds of students you want as an instructor when it comes to team
training, if there is not team training they still seek out social settings in
the club so it’s important to keep them focused. They will make great
instructors and seniors in your club.

inspiring and charismatic as ENFJs. Their idealism and vision allow ENFJs to
overcome many challenging obstacles, more often than not brightening the lives
of those around them. ENFJs' imagination is invaluable in many areas, including
their own personal growth. They will
